Child Development “The first 1000 days”

R16,790.00

15 Jul, 2024

Course overview

With the significance placed on the first 1,000 days of a child’s life, understanding typical infant and child development is essential for anyone working with young children, and especially those interventionists, care workers and professionals working with children that have any form of disability, or special needs and barriers to learning. In this course, we discuss different theories and perspective of childhood development and then move on to discussing the different stages of development from birth up until 3 years old.

“This course is a model for training early childhood intervention providers to gain knowledge about families and their children who are deaf or hard of hearing. This is a great step forward in assuring foundational knowledge of those providing family centred care to families with children who are deaf or hard of hearing.” – Christine Yoshinaga-Itano
